The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica comes with three rows of seats and offers space for up to eight people. Getting in and out of the third-row is quick and convenient. With just the push of a button, the second-row Easy-Tilt seats can slide forward for easy access. You can also replace the second-row bench seats with a pair of captain’s chairs. They’ll give you a convenient center aisle and still offer seating for seven.

The 2020 Honda Odyssey also offers three rows of seats and captain’s chairs. Getting in and out with the second-row bench seat is a little more challenging though. Rather than simply pressing a button, you’ll have to find the lever, pull up, and then push them forward.

A good minivan should also have lots of storage space. Both the Chrysler Pacifica and Honda Odyssey deliver with large trunks and folding seats. However, the Chrysler Pacifica makes it easier to pack big boxes and furniture. With Stow ‘n Go® seating and storage, both the second- and third-row seats can fold flat into the floor. Plus, you can add some hands-free sliding doors to help you load up when you’ve got your hands full.

The Honda Odyssey makes things a little harder for you. It doesn’t offer hands-free sliding doors, and to get maximum cargo room, you’ll have to remove the second-row seats.

Safety Features

To keep your family safe, the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica comes with eight airbags. There are also lots of features that can help prevent accidents. The SafetyTec® system comes standard in every Pacifica. It gives you more awareness with driver assistance features, such as:

• Blind Spot Monitoring
• ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera
• Rear Cross-Path Detection System
• ParkSense® Rear Park Assist with Stop

The Honda Odyssey also features eight airbags, but it doesn’t include as many driver assistance features. You’ll be able to check behind your van with a back-up camera, but technology like a blind spot monitor or rear-cross traffic alert isn’t offered on every trim level.

Infotainment System

The Chrysler Pacifica also includes lots of technology that can make your drive more fun. It comes with a Bluetooth® compatible 7-inch touchscreen in the dashboard. Once you sync your smartphone, you’ll be able to stream music and make hands-free calls. Plus, you can connect your apps with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

The Honda Odyssey offers that kind of smartphone compatibility, but it’s not standard. Features like a touchscreen, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ are not available on the base trim. The standard system only includes Bluetooth® and a 5-inch LCD screen.
