Since its inception in 1996, SEMCA has blazed the trail for employment development programs by forging lasting partnerships with a wide range of local community organizations. Their mission is to provide a dynamic, inclusive, and adaptive career development system.

Officially recognized by the Council of Accreditation under their new standards, SEMCA operates through two volunteer boards: Workforce Development Board and the Southeast Governmental Alliance (SEGA). Through these boards and the SEMCA network, this organization links businesses with people to realize lasting achievements.
